Leadership Soccer Academy (LSA)

At Leadership Soccer Academy, programs are designed to meet children where they are, not just by age, but by confidence, readiness, and ability.

Our goal is simple:

Give each child the right environment to grow — as a player and as a person.

How Groups Are Organized

Instead of labeling children by age, we group them by:

  • Confidence level

  • Technical readiness

  • Emotional maturity

  • Ability to train in a group setting

This allows children to:

  • Feel challenged but not overwhelmed

  • Build confidence at their own pace

  • Learn leadership by training with different peers

Every placement is done thoughtfully and with the child’s best interest in mind.

What Your Child Will Gain

By participating in LSA, your child will:

  • Feel more confident on and off the field

  • Learn how to work with others and lead by example

  • Develop discipline, focus, and resilience

  • Improve soccer skills in a positive, supportive setting

  • Feel valued, supported, and encouraged

Parents often tell us they notice changes not just in soccer — but in attitude, confidence, and behaviour.

LSA Outdoor Development Program

(May – July)

This is our core outdoor experience.

Each program combines:

  • Soccer skill development

  • Confidence building

  • Leadership, teamwork, and resilience

  • A positive, caring coaching environment

Program Details

  • Ages: Generally 8–13 (flexible based on development)

  • Sessions: 2 per week

  • Session length: 60 minutes

  • Group size: 8–10 players

  • Location: TBD

  • Season length: Outdoor season (May–July)

Children are placed based on readiness and ability, not strictly age.

Some younger players may train with older groups — and vice versa — when it supports their development.

For Calgary West Players & Families

LSA is designed to complement club soccer, not replace it.

Club players are welcome to join as an added development experience focused on:

  • Leadership

  • Confidence

  • Mindset

  • Character growth

Many families use LSA as an extra layer of support alongside their club commitments.

Registration Process

We keep registration simple and personal.

Step 1 – Expression of Interest

Parents submit a short form to share:

  • Child’s age

  • Playing experience

  • What they hope their child gains from the program

Step 2 – Placement & Fit

We review each application to ensure the program is the right fit for the child.

Step 3 – Confirmation

Once accepted, families receive:

  • Program and payment details

  • Schedule

  • Child’s Forms

⚠️ Limited spots available to keep group sizes small and quality high.
