Frequently asked questions.

  • No. We are not a soccer club; we work alongside clubs to support children’s development

Most players are registered with clubs

  • Premier Soccer Coaching is a child-centered development academy designed to support children both on and off the field.

We use soccer as a tool to help children grow in confidence, discipline, resilience, and joy. Every session is intentionally structured so children feel safe, supported, and encouraged, while still being challenged in a healthy way.

Our focus goes beyond soccer skills — we care deeply about how children feel when they train, how they see themselves, and how they grow as people.

  • Leadership Soccer Academy (LSA) is our development framework built around three essential pillars: BELONG, GROW, and PLAY.

    LSA ensures that children:

    • Feel included and supported

    • Build confidence, leadership, and resilience

    • Learn soccer skills in a joyful, engaging way

This approach allows children to develop naturally — without pressure — while gaining the confidence and character that parents value most.

LSA is not a program kids attend.

It’s the experience they feel every time they step on the field.

  • Outdoor sessions are held on the NW community field, Ranchlands.

  • Club training focuses primarily on teams, competition, and seasonal performance.

Premier Soccer Coaching focuses on the individual child.

We intentionally create an environment where children:

    • Feel they belong

    • Are supported emotionally and socially

    • Build confidence before pressure

    • Learn leadership and responsibility through action

Our work complements club training by strengthening the child’s mindset, confidence, and enjoyment of the game — which often leads to better performance within their teams.

  • All sessions are led by Edgar, founder of Premier Soccer Coaching and Leadership Soccer Academy.

Edgar brings years of hands-on experience working with children in both club and private settings, with a strong focus on confidence, character, and long-term development. His approach goes beyond drills — he is deeply involved in each child’s growth, helping them build self-belief, resilience, and leadership through soccer.

Parents often describe his coaching as caring, intentional, and genuinely invested in their child — not just as a player, but as a person.

You can learn more about Edgar’s background, philosophy, and experience on our “Who Is Your Coach” page.

  • Yes. Most of our players are registered with clubs and use LSA as additional development and support.

  • At Premier Soccer Coaching, children come first — always.

We don’t just focus on soccer skills. We care deeply about how children feel, how they see themselves, and how supported they are in the environment they train in.

Every session is designed so children:

    • Feel they belong

    • Feel safe to try and make mistakes

    • Feel supported, encouraged, and valued

Our Leadership Soccer Academy (LSA) framework ensures that development happens in three ways: belonging, personal growth, and joyful play. This means confidence, leadership, and resilience are built naturally — not forced.

We also go beyond the field. From time to time, we organize belonging-focused activities that help children connect, build friendships, and strengthen their sense of community. These moments matter — especially for confidence and emotional development. All this is performed with professionalism and love for soccer.

  • Leadership Soccer Academy (LSA) is best suited for children ages 7 to 13, though placement is based on readiness, confidence, and ability — not just age.

  • Groups are formed based on: Confidence level, skill readiness and emotional and physical maturity

Some children may train with older or younger players if it benefits their growth.

  • We keep groups small (8–10 players max) to ensure quality coaching, attention, and safety.

  • Most group programs run 2 sessions per week, one hour each.

Private programs are customized based on players' and parents’ requests.

  • Your child will develop much more than soccer skills.

    Through our sessions, children learn:

    • Confidence and self-belief

    • Emotional resilience and discipline

    • Communication and teamwork

    • Responsibility and leadership

    • Soccer skills and game understanding

Everything is taught in a way that feels safe, positive, and encouraging, so children enjoy the process while growing steadily.
